Ephesians 6:10-13
“Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.”
If you’re thinking that the graphic art looks familiar, it’s because it’s from Call of Duty. The popular video game “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2″ comes out next month and if you love that first person shooter, you’ll love this series (Yes, team Know God Know Love is still young and very relatable).
Spiritual warfare is an image that many of us would rather reject. However, since the Bible uses terms of warfare, it’s best that we accept God’s imagery, so that we’re properly prepared for real battle. As Christians, we’re going through more than a mere struggle on earth. We are in a constant spiritual battle and we must be equipped to win the war.
This series we will be exploring the importance of the word, prayer, fasting and other important aspects to prepare ourselves against the devil’s attacks.
